A rich, saturated red with depth and restraint — leaning toward wine, berry, and dark crimson rather than bright scarlet. The colour holds warmth without shouting, grounded by a subtle shadow that gives it seriousness and weight. It feels immediate and assured, decisive without being sharp.

In Nutiden, the colour settles beautifully into the wool’s soft structure: the matte surface tempers the intensity, allowing lighter and darker fibres to create quiet movement and a sense of inner glow. It is a red that carries presence rather than drama — confident, steady, and enduring.

Handle: Soft and full, with a calm density that supports the colour’s depth — well suited for garments and textiles meant to be worn close and often.

We take great pride in doing things by hand - so all blends will always be unique and will ALWAYS variate. 

Always hand-wash natural wool - always note that we do not use bleach or any other chemicals cleaning wool - therefore it will have natural materials in it - so the first rinse of water can be dirty (tip - use the water to water your plants - they will LOVE it! 

We only use certified pigments, salt and vinegar when dyeing
