From HQ - we can almost see the farm of our most local wool - and it’s
surprisingly alpacas that provide it!
A while back we got a visit @narvaro_butik from the owner of this local
wool - and that sparked a creative experiment.
This single drop features sample bags of our new mix: 20% Swedish
local alpaca and 80% gently washed (lanolin-preserved) Värmlands wool.
This is the black mix, featuring
Natursvart (nature black),
Natursvart/turkos (black with teal), and
Natursvart/röd (black with
red).
The wool is very gently washed here at HQ and carded once in Kata.
This has been a playful experiment to combine a very high-lanolin
sheep's wool (which allowed us to card it in our machines without spin
oil) with the very fine alpaca fibers.
Each sample bag holds approx. 60g of each of the three blends.
Full batts will be coming later this fall.
